Men and women move across the earth like schools of fish move in the sea. Constantly changing direction at once, watching the same things, motivated by the same values and fears, lured by gain, enjoyment, power, love and beauty. I count myself among them but my trade, and my luxury, is to place myself on the side of the onlooker. My interests are those of all of us. The questions I ask myself, the things that make me laugh or sad are common to us all.

The idea of “all in one” is what fascinates me. The opera of life with its backdrops, its characters, its costumes, lighting, the main singer, the plot, the orchestra and that high point in the score when love is declared: all of that can be captured in just one single shot.
