I try to stay focused on producing something that rings true, that doesn’t pander.
The work of a photographer is to reveal hidden things.
[I want to help photographers] to find that inner voice or personal perspective, rather than [take] photos that people expect [them] to take.
We are encouraged to believe in wide-open horizons and limitless possibilities, but most people live in a world that is constrained. Pictures can capture the symmetry of a clear horizon or show the disparity in more limited landscapes. Sometimes, they capture both, emboldening us to press on.
